Dr. Intai Cheong
March 14, 1939 - January 22, 2017
RICHMOND HILL, GA – Dr. Intai Cheong, 77, died Sunday, January 22, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A native of Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Cheong graduated from Medical School in Seoul before coming to the United States in 1967. He served his internship in New York, NY and his residency in Washington, DC. He served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He has worked on the staff of Georgia Regional Hospital for the past 20 years.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Cha Cheong; 3 daughters, Yeun mo Kwon, Sonya Hong, and Lynette Cheong; a brother and a sister, living in South Korea; and 5 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Savannah Korean Baptist Church, 6165 Chief O. F. Love Rd., Savannah, GA 31419 . Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Sorry to hear about Dr. Cheong. I worked with him at Ga. Regional and always enjoyed our conversations. He was a very religious person and frequently talked to me about his faith and his God. Prayers for the family. Bob Wilson

You might take comfort in God's promise found at Revelation 21:4 which says God "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
